[Music] hey there guys and today we are gonna be talking about the Bostick the bus stitch staple at the electric stapler yes okay I’ve had this stapler for good probably what is it maybe around two and a half years now and it is a really good staplers it’s really heavy-duty strong you know and sturdy it’s not something that you could actually well you could travel with it I guess I mean but it’s a little big for that I think in a little heavy and it’s made to be on the dust and desk and kind of stay there I think yeah it’s really really well built and like you could drop it and actually I have dropped it it’ll keep going it’s really really built to last it has these suctions on the bottom here to keep it in place like you know so it doesn’t move when you’re trying to you know use it what it has here is a button here on the top that releases this bottom part right there and then we pull this out not you see this is where you load all your staples and it has actual extra staples in here that reload automatically see this is the main one but on the sides is extra staples so once this is out it’ll automatically bring those other ones over put them into play yeah that is pretty awesome I say I mean how often do you see that in the staple right right so you pop that right back in yeah and what this is here is a is a indicator light that actually tells you when your staples are almost gone or gone when it needs when you need to reload you know this light will come on that’s awesome too most of the time when you’re trying to understand I mean if not understand but most of the time when you find out that your stapler is empty is because you’re right in the middle of stapling something and you try to staple it and oh nothing’s happening that is your indicator at least this light will come on to let you know even before you get started that it’s empty so you need to add which is cool a very nice little additive for your staples yeah for your stapler it um staples really fast it can staple up to 20 sheets at a time that is that is something I mean I’ve never had to do that many sheets at a time it it comes down pretty hard to that many sheets of paper and be able to make it work yeah that’s pretty cool and the one of the best things I’ll say about having this is because of one of the biggest complaints about staplers in general even electrical staplers is the fact that a lot of times they will get jammed now stapling well you get staplers while you’re stapling jams while you’re stapling rather it’s a headache because then you have to get in there with some kind of a tool pry it out you know it’s some kind of a knife or some sharp object or something you can get it out of there and get that messed up staple out of there and uh you know continue stapling and hope and pray that it doesn’t happen again this last stitch a peeler has anti no Jam technology no Jam technology is anti jamming technology that’s awesome and I pretty much swear by it because I’ve had this for over two years now and I’ve done a lot of stapling a lot of it it is never jammed not once I can vouch for that it’s amazing that it does not Jam ever it makes me want to open it and check out and see what is exactly happening inside to make it not Jam I need to know yeah it really works if it really does not ever Jam staples very well I really like it I really think that it’s a good buy the only thing is it’s a little big it doesn’t it doesn’t allow for it to be compact and if you came in case you want to travel with it or something I usually want everything I have to be kind of compatible but I use this anyway on my desk and I never don’t ever move it so yeah I wouldn’t travel with it because it’s a little heavy too but it’s a very good stapler it does the job and that is it okay that is it for the bus stitch electronic stapler alright I hope you guys use this information yes I’ll talk to you a bit all right [Music] you [Music]

The bottom loading magazine caught our attention on the first impression we had with this product. The design allows users to reload staples faster than conventional designs allow so there is less downtime during a project.

This stapler uses 22 gauge 3/8 inch staples only, so be aware of this as you get to work. The magazine itself holds nearly 200 staples and multiple legs will fire consistently for your upcoming project.

If you’ve never used a staple gun before and have an upholstery project to complete, this is the tool you’ll want to use.

hi my name is John with secure fastening systems I’m introducing the USC 7116 L long nose upholstery stapler it is a 22 gauge 3/8 crown upholstery stapler which is pretty standard in the industry and is used widely by all upholstery shops we have three different types of staples for this we have that the standard galvanized staple we have the lacquer finish which is like a tan satin type staple and then we have the stainless steel staples for boats and outdoor applications now to load your stapler you simply push on the magazine which opens up you take your staple and drop it from the bottom and you shut the door now I always recommend when you first get your stapler to put one or two drops a staple of oil inside the back of the gun so you just drop a couple of drops in and plug your coupler into your plug now a poster staplers are designed to flush drive regardless of what type of material it’s not meant to countersink and it is method flush drive so regardless of what type of wood you use and what type of application you’re using it should never go through the fabric or the leather or the vinyl layer or post ring best air pressure you use on these tools is between 80 and 100 pounds I recommend 90 pounds you don’t want to go too low air pressure because if you go under 80 pounds what generally happens it’ll skip a staple or will recycle the piston driver so I always recommend 90 pounds you don’t want to go to higher pressure because then you put severe wear on your driver and o-rings purchase are staples and the gun our eBay store at wwsz IOR es ebay.com for slash secure fastening that’s secu re FA as te and ing or go to our website secure fastening calm

This was one of the most effective staple guns in any category that we’ve ever used. We really loved the placement of the safety mechanism to prevent accidental firings on this gun.

The magazine quickly releases from the mainframe as well, letting you install a new row of staples in a record amount of time.

Surebonder 300 series staples seemed to work the best with this unit and remember to have some pneumatic oil on hand for ongoing maintenance.

Do that and you’ll have a long-term investment on your hands with this staple gun for upholstery.

#4. Runner Up

Stanley TRE550 Electric Staple/Brad Gun

Our Rating

There’s a slight vibration within the gun itself when you’re pressing down to insert a staple or a brad nail.

We guarantee that this is going to cause your first few insertions to not go as deep as you think they’ll be able to go.

Once you get used to the operation of the machine, then you’ll be able to finish off projects faster than you could ever believe.

Make sure if you do use an extension cord with this tool that you don’t cause a loss of amperage for the tool.

This can cause it to burn out prematurely. Otherwise you’re going to love this staple gun.

What Is a Staple Gun for Upholstery and Why Do I Need One?

You’ve got 3 different types of staple guns to think about when it comes to upholstery: manual, electric, and pneumatic. Some people prefer to own all three types of upholstery staple guns.

If you’re looking to purchase just one, however, the type of projects that you’re planning on will dictate which type of staple gun you should likely own.

Pneumatic staple guns for upholstery tend to be the most versatile. They are portable and quite affordable, yet still offer the high-powered solution that some projects require.

Don’t need a lot of power?

Then just turn down the air compressor and you’ll have a customized experience. You will need a compressor for this type of staple gun to work, however, and that can be quite an investment if you don’t own one already.

For electric staple guns built for upholstery, many of them do not have an actual “trigger” that must be depressed.

The stapling mechanism is triggered by pressing the tool down into the material that needs to be affixed. If you press too hard, you might damage the upholstery, but a triggered staple gun also needs comprehensive safety features if there are any kids around.

A manual staple gun can work well, but it requires a lot of strength to use properly when it comes to upholstery.

This tool is usually the most affordable and the results can be similar to that of the other two options available, but not everyone can actually produce those results.

How To Find the Best Upholstery Staple Gun For Me?

There are two key attributes that you’ll want to consider when shopping for the best upholstery staple gun: gauge and crown. The gauge of a staple is the thickness of the wire that is fired out of the staple gun.

For upholstery, you’ll need to have a tool that is built to accommodate 22 gauge staples. You can use 18 gauge staples for some projects. Each staple gun will mention the gauge it accommodates, so pay close attention here.

As for the crown, this is a reference to the tip of the staple and how wide it happens to be. You’ll find that most upholstery staple guns will use terms like narrow, standard, or wide when describing the crown.

Narrow crowns are 0.25 inches, standard crowns are 3/8 of an inch, and wide crowns are 5/8 of an inch. Narrower crowns take up less room, which means your upholstery project requires less bulk.

Advantages of the Best Upholstery Staple Gun

Can any staple gun be used to affix upholstery? For some projects, this is certainly the case.

Sometimes, however, only the extended nose of the upholstery staple gun can help you to get your project completed.

Chairs, sofas, and other types of furniture often have small cracks where a staple is required to affix the upholstery properly. Without the extended nose that the upholstery staple gun has, it becomes impossible to properly finish the project.

Certain types of upholstery guns also come with what is called a “manual safety trigger.”

Do you remember how you’re required to depress the nose of the staple gun to get it to fire?

This trigger will help you engage this mechanism independently of that function. You’ll find most staple guns of this type of a safety trigger on the bottom of the nose that can be accessed while working.

Avoid having a safety trigger near where you place pressure on the tool to prevent accidental discharges.

What Are the Prices of Upholstery Staple Guns?

This depends on the type of upholstery staple gun you’re wanting to purchase. The three different types of tools have three different average price points to consider.

  • Manual upholstery staple guns: cheaper ones for most makes and models when shopping online.
  • Pneumatic upholstery staple guns: some more expensive and this often includes free staples, but you’ll need to either own a compressor or purchase one independently if one doesn’t come with the staple gun.
  • Electric upholstery staple guns: more expensive depending on size and adaptability. Some staple guns in this category can be loaded with different gauges and crowns so each project can become completely unique – and you only need to have one tool.
